The Context

Security firms currently manage hundreds of high-stakes contracts using generic, fragmented tools. This creates massive compliance risks and blocks their access to lender financing. We partnered with Loyva to design the industry’s first purpose-built ecosystem—a single source of truth that turns document chaos into a scalable business asset.

Built for the speed of a growing startup.

Working with Loyva’s founders, we turned a 10-hour weekly filing burden into a "zero-friction" workflow. We streamlined creation, e-signing, and vaulting so that retrieving critical documents now takes seconds, not hours.

Why generic solutions fall short for security firms.

The market is vast, but it is currently served by generalist tools. While competitors focus on the act of signing, Loyva fills the gap by managing the high-stakes compliance lifecycle that happens after the signature.

Competitive Feature Analysis 1.6 Feature Comparison: Specialized vs. Generic.
The Challenge

Security firms are drowning in document silos and generic tools.

The Impact is companies waste valuable time navigating between systems, resulting in lost audit trails and significant regulatory risks. The Gap is a lack of a unified, compliant repository that handles the entire contract lifecycle in one place.

UX Research

Designing for the person carrying the risk.

To build a solution that actually sticks, We focused on "Mike"—a mid-size security owner represents our primary user archetype. Our research revealed that the transition from paper to digital isn't just a technical challenge; it’s an emotional one rooted in compliance anxiety and operational overwhelm.

User persona - Mike the Strategist 3.0 User Archetype: Mike, "The Strategist" Founder.

Mapping the internal and external struggle.

Understanding Mike's mindset was critical. While he thinks about ROI and insurance savings, he feels overwhelmed by 800+ paper contracts and the fear of lender rejection.

Customer journey map - Mike 3.2 Customer Journey: From "Drowning in paperwork" to "Confident & Growing."

Interview Highlight: Mike’s biggest pain point is the 10+ hours spent weekly on manual filing. The solution had to be simple enough to adopt without disrupting daily operations, or he would never use it.

Information Architecture

Blueprinting a compliant, "zero-friction" ecosystem.

Before moving to high-fidelity, We mapped out the contract lifecycle to ensure Mike could move from "Upload" to "Vaulted" in under three clicks. The goal was to eliminate the 10-hour weekly filing burden identified in our research.

Final Prototype

Bringing the vision to life.

The final MVP focuses on three core pillars: Speed of Creation, Unbreakable Compliance, and Instant Retrieval.

Outcomes

Presented to Loyva's founding team, December 2025.

Industry specialization wins. Design for the ecosystem, not just the user. Speed is the feature.
