Robotics & Emerging Tech Governance Policy
As artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and spatial interfaces expand into physical platforms, Amdura™ ("we," "our," or "us") provides software middleware, API integration, conversational logic (such as Aries™), and software plugins engineered to interface with next-generation technologies, humanoid robotics, spatial computing, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
This Governance Policy defines the strict boundary of our software-only scope, physical safety disclaimers, and human-in-the-loop operational rules required when deploying Amdura™ software alongside physical hardware.
1. Software & Middleware Scope Boundary
Amdura™ operates exclusively as a software engineering, UI/UX design, and AI integration provider.
- No Hardware Manufacturing: Amdura™ does not design, manufacture, construct, distribute, or maintain physical hardware, mechanical actuators, robotic chassis, battery systems, or physical sensors.
- Software Middleware Layer: Our deliverables consist strictly of code, API connections, conversational prompts, software plugins, and web control interfaces designed to communicate with third-party hardware platforms via standard developer SDKs and protocols.
2. Hardware & Physical Environment Safety Disclaimer
Because physical hardware environments carry inherent operational risks, the Client and hardware operator maintain sole responsibility for physical safety during deployment:
- Physical Safety Mechanisms: The third-party hardware manufacturer and deployer are strictly responsible for maintaining physical emergency-stop (E-stop) switches, collision detection sensors, physical safety enclosures, and mechanical fail-safes independent of any software command issued by Amdura™ code.
- Hardware Maintenance & Calibration: Amdura™ is not responsible for hardware malfunctions, sensor miscalibrations, mechanical wear, battery failures, or physical damage occurring on third-party robotic platforms.
3. Human-In-The-Loop (HITL) Governance
Any client or enterprise deploying Amdura™ software, AI plugins, or conversational agents on physical robotic systems or automated machinery must enforce strict Human-in-the-Loop oversight:
- Supervised Execution: Software commands executed in physical spaces must be overseen by a trained human operator capable of manually overriding software actions instantaneously.
- Controlled Sandbox Testing: Prior to public or commercial deployment, all Amdura™ software integrations must undergo isolated sandbox testing to evaluate motion thresholds, latency, and hardware response behaviors safely.
- Prohibited Autonomous Applications: Amdura™ software, plugins, and AI agents must NEVER be deployed in high-risk physical environments, including weapon systems, autonomous combat machinery, critical medical life-support systems, or hazardous industrial operations where software latency or error could lead to physical injury or loss of life.
4. Rapidly Evolving Tech & SDK Compatibility
The emerging technology and humanoid robotics markets evolve rapidly. Amdura™ engineers software to align with contemporary open standards and vendor SDKs available at the time of development.
- Amdura™ makes no warranty that existing software plugins or API connectors will remain natively compatible with unreleased future hardware revisions or proprietary operating system updates issued by third-party hardware manufacturers.
- Required compatibility updates for new hardware iterations released post-launch will be executed via a standard Change Order or maintenance agreement.
5. Complete Limitation of Physical Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AMDURA™ SHALL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL PHYSICAL DAMAGES, PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR MECHANICAL FAILURES RESULTING FROM THE OPERATION OF THIRD-PARTY HARDWARE, ROBOTICS, OR PHYSICAL SYSTEMS EXECUTING OR INTERFACING WITH AMDURA™ SOFTWARE, APIS, OR AI PLUGINS.
