Robotics & AI Governance Policy

This Robotics & AI Governance Policy establishes the ethical, technical, and operational standards governing the development, testing, and deployment of embodied AI, spatial interfaces, humanoid robotics plugins, and cross-cultural interaction software created by AM Digital Designs ("Studio", "we", "us").

1. Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) & Commercial Safety

For all software, plugins, and custom AI agents deployed on physical robots or commercial hardware operating in local business environments:

Human-Centric Safety Failsafes: All robotic control software must interface with physical hardware emergency stop (E-stop) mechanisms and maintain automated collision-avoidance routines.
Commercial Space Awareness: Software deployed in local customer-facing businesses (such as retail, hospitality, or office environments) must enforce spatial safety buffer zones to protect employees, customers, and physical property.
Non-Deceptive Embodiment: Physical robots executing Studio software must clearly indicate operational status (e.g., active listening, recording, or movement execution) through visual cues or auditory signals.

2. Cross-Cultural Software Adaptation & Bias Prevention

Our Innovation Lab develops cross-cultural plugins designed to adapt humanoid behavior, speech cadence, and spatial gestures across diverse global demographics:

Cultural Localization Controls: Plugins dynamically tune interaction protocols (e.g., eye contact duration, greeting gestures, vocal tone) to align with regional cultural norms without introducing offensive stereotypes.
Bias Auditing & Inclusivity: Cross-cultural interaction datasets undergo routine evaluation to minimize algorithmic bias across accent recognition, facial gesture tracking, and demographic representation.

3. Spatial Telemetry & Edge Sensor Governance

Robotics systems rely on multi-modal sensors (LiDAR, spatial depth cameras, voice arrays, and inertial measurement units):

On-Device Edge Processing: Where feasible, raw sensor streams used for navigation and gesture recognition are processed locally on edge hardware, discarding raw spatial point-clouds after motion actuation.
Zero Surveillance Guarantee: Sensor feeds managed by Studio plugins are strictly utilized for operational navigation, UX feedback, and interaction responsiveness—never for unauthorized public surveillance or commercial profiling.

4. Regulatory Compliance & High-Risk Frameworks

AM Digital Designs aligns its robotics software architectures with emerging global AI frameworks, including the EU AI Act's high-risk AI system requirements and U.S. NIST AI Risk Management Frameworks. We provide commercial clients with transparent documentation regarding model limitations, system guardrails, and operational logs upon request.
